Jane Jacobs's 100th birthday is on the horizon and her legacy continues to thrill readers of all ages.

Jane Jacobs continues to engage and delight even as we near what would have been her 100th birthday on May 4, 2016. A third-grader out of Clemson, SC, also and aptly named Jane, was assigned a book report and chose Genius of Common SenseBelow is her lovely report, which was sent to the author, Glenna Lang, and is a wonderful tribute in the spirit of Jacobs herself. Young Jane’s report shows that Jacobs resonates with a new generation of readers and that her passion is timeless.

“A Genius of Common Sense is about Jane Jacobs, and what she did for the world. As a child, Jane was an indapendent-minded [sic] student and prankster. Who Knew she would be a huge part in how arcitecture [sic] was shaped.”
